WickRight Flat Roof Vent Installation exhausts moisture vapor from Wet Roof Systems

WickRight Flat Roof Vent exhausts heat from under the roof membrane and interstitial roof space, eliminates condensation build-up and significantly extends the useful life of roof membranes, plywood sheathing and insulation. Our Flat Roof Vent provides an interior rain screen for walls, which manages moisture intrusion from the exterior wall, allows internal moisture vapor to exit and separates the roof space from the masonry to keep it dry.

WickRight Flat Roof Vent allows the interstitial space beneath the plywood roof deck to exhaust condensation, and re-directs moisture intrusion from the masonry wall to the exterior, away from the roof system.


WickRight Flat Roof Vent significantly extends the life of roofing materials and structural components and allows wet truss ends embedded in wet masonry pockets to start the drying process. 


Unfortunately, some trusses may be damaged beyond saving and need to be replaced.

If a building smells funky,  wear a respirator to avoid inhaling dangerous mold spores. We have found that about 50% of the rotted truss ends embedded in wet masonry wall pockets can be reinforced and saved.

Rotting Roof Sheathing & Trusses ... Moisture Intrusion causes Marshmallow Mold & Orange Mushrooms!

If your project smells funky, have everyone wear respirators to avoid inhaling dangerous mold spores.

Some rotted trusses can be saved. When trusses are embedded in masonry pockets, its important to prevent moisture intrusion. Most of the trusses embedded in wet masonry wall pockets that our Construction division, WickRight General Contracting, has uncovered, were candidates for truss reinforcement and did not need to be replaced.

Our construction division removes mortar and spray foam insulation from trusses, then applies, a combination moldicide/hardener/sealer, to the damaged portions.

If necessary they "sister" trusses with structural plywood to add strength per recommendations of licensed structural engineers.  And finally, they install our reinforcement brackets shown below.
